Banks are open for money exchanging on weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon. You can also get credit card cash advances at handy 24-hour banking machines. There is one at the Banamex at the intersection of Corona and Juarez.

Medical Care
Due to the many Americans living in the Guadelajara area, not only will you be able to find an English-speaking doctor, but you will probably be able to find a doctor who IS American. Should you have a medical emergency, speak with your hotel information desk to find the name of a good English-speaking physician.

Airlift
In the event of an extreme medical emergency, there is the Air-Evac ambulance service which will airlift you to an American hospital in California, Texas or Florida. In case of such an extreme emergency, call collect (713) 880-9767 for Houston, (305) 772-0003 for Miami, and (619) 278-3822 for San Diego. Phone lines are open 24 hours a day. If your condition doesn't warrant such extreme measures.

The office is located at 175 Progreso. Telephone: 25-9202.

Tourist Information Office
It is at Morelos 102. Hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Here you may pick up a map of the city and surrounding area and have questions answered about Guadalajara. Telephone: 14-0606, ext. 114.

The main post office is at the corner of Venustiano Carranza and Calle Independencia, north and east of the cathedral. It not advisable to send or receive any valuable articles by mail.
